Mateo Forchieri

Mateo is a Chartered Physiotherapist who works with people of all ages and activity levels, from children and older adults to people living with long-standing pain, those recovering from surgery, and competitive athletes. He believes good physiotherapy starts with listening: taking the time to understand each person's pain and what they want to get back to doing, then explaining clearly what is going on and why. From there, Mateo and his patients agree a personalised plan together, combining hands-on treatment with exercises that fit into everyday life, so that each person leaves feeling confident managing their own recovery.

 

Mateo graduated from Fontys University in the Netherlands in 2025 with First Class Honours. He has since worked in a sports physiotherapy clinic in Frankfurt, with professional rugby in Cape Town, and as Head Physiotherapist for the FC Barcelona Academy camps in Dublin.

 

He is currently studying Graduate Entry Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, which gives him a broader understanding of his patients' overall health and of when further tests or a specialist opinion may be needed. He is also involved in shoulder research at the UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic in Santry, reviewing MRI scans of patients with recurrent shoulder dislocations, which has given him a particular interest in shoulder problems.

 

Outside the clinic, Mateo plays rugby. He is also happy to treat patients in Spanish, English or German.

 

He is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) and CORU registered.
