Our clinic will return to normal opening hours on Monday 4th January.
We have taken the decision to move your First appointment online for the next 2 weeks, from 2nd January, in order to protect our physio team and you our patients.
The recent announcement that close contacts of a confirmed case will no longer be tested due to increased demand on the testing and tracing service, has been a key factor that led us to this decision. We have learned from the experience of managing patients remotely from Lockdown 1 and are confident that the treatment experience and therapeutic benefit is effective.
We used online treatments exclusively between March and May 2020 and from June we treated all patients on the basis of them being presumed Covid Positive. However in the current circumstances, when our colleagues in the hospital service are preparing for a worse case scenario, it is prudent that we do what we can for this short time to ensure that the current situation does not deteriorate further and that patient safety is our priority above all else.
However, if after an assessment, if we feel that you are not suitable for a virtual appointment, we will let you know and there will be no charge and if appropriate we will see you face to face in the clinic.
If you have been treated virtually or in the clinic since March 2019, you may have noticed that have focused our treatments, were possible, that we are 2m apart. Patient experience has been very positive, our patients have been delighted to become more aware of their body, discover the postural triggers for their stiffness and pain, learn which movements get them out of pain. The big win of course is by finding out the source of pain, you can make a long term change.
While this Covid19 situation is very serious we are not powerless and the vaccines are within reach. Now, the best tool we have is to break chains of transmission, reduce our contact and slow down the spread of Covid19.
