Massage
Massage is a ‘hands on’ treatment of the superficial and deep layers of soft tissue to promote the healing of injured tissue, restore muscle length, improve function and reduce pain.
Massage has very positive effects on the body as a whole, especially for the musculoskeletal, circulatory, lymphatic and nervous systems.
- Deep Tissue Massage – to relieve tension and pain, commonly as a result of poor posture and overuse injuries.
- Sports Massage – to treat sports-related injuries and enhance performance and recovery.
- Myofascial Release – Gentle pressure and body positioning are used to relax and stretch the muscles, fascia (connective tissue) and related structures.
- Trigger Point Massage– Pressure is applied to tender spots in a damaged muscle to alleviate muscle spasms and pain.
